Local vintners in the Northern Sierra Wine Country formed the Nevada County Winery Association to enhance and promote the region. The local wineries vary in size, but most are considered boutique wine producers, making high quality, distinctive wines that are sold locally, regionally, and in some cases, nationally.

Come visit Northern Sierra Wine Country's beautiful wineries and tasting rooms! Enjoy the fresh mountain air and peaceful drives through the countryside to see the vineyards, wineries, and wine caves. Barrel tasting is often available. Meet and talk with the wine makers while sampling their wines. Bring a picnic lunch to share while gazing at the scenic views. In town, visit a variety of tasting rooms, each with a unique look and feel, offering fine wine related gifts and art.
