In 2007 a classic hybrid wine bar & tasting room opened its doors to welcome travelers from all over the world to come and experience wines from all over California in Old Sacramento. Boasting of 165 different wines from California’s most famous wine regions to choose from and eight types of beer on tap from Belgium to Stouts make this a truly unique place to visit. The inventory changes weekly from Champagnes to Ports, you can find many different wine varietals to purchase to take home or stay and enjoy with a wonderful pairing of lite fare featured from an expansive offering from their “Bites & Bites” menu. Fresh fruit & cheese with antipasto dishes to gourmet pastry puffs filled with wonderful delights. John Hicklin, Wine Bar Manager states “Education is a large part of our job. We enjoy introducing our guest to the world of wine. Most come from back east where wine tasting is not an every day opportunity so we find ourselves sharing and teaching the true enjoyment of wine tasting. Such as what is a varietal, what designates a region, why do you smell wine and what do you look for when tasting wine? Wine is not complicated, it’s simple, and if you enjoy what you taste continues to do so, if not, try another. We want our guest to have fun and not be intimidated.” Owner Vickie Allen has created a place of discovery and enjoyment. Featuring flights of three wines for $5.00 or you can purchase a glass or bottle from 50 different wines offered daily.
